Jeffrey Wayne Welch, 62, of Covington, KY passed away on Sunday, April 26, 2020. He was a member of St. Benedict Church and he worked in maintenance in the healthcare industry. Jeff enjoyed playing pool and baseball and watching baseball. He loved watching sports especially the Reds and Bengals. A visitation and Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be at a later date at St. Benedict Church. Interment will be in Mother of God Cemetery in Fort Wright, KY. Memorials are suggested to St. Benedict Church, 338 East 17th. Street, Covington, KY 41014. I remember many days back in the 70's and early 80's with Jeff and Tony Pettit, playing basketball, drinking a beer or just sitting on a wall by 6th district just talking for hours. Then one day Jeff was gone, we never seen him again. I hope he had a good life, I know we shared a lot of laughs back then. Rest easy my friend.

I grew up with Jeff in the East Covington neighborhood. We hung around together in our youth and have a lot of great memories. Jeff was a good guy. I wish I would have spent time with him in later years. I am very sad to hear of his passing.
