Gregory Clyde Laws, Sr, 62, of Union, KY passed away on Monday, October 12, 2020. He was a member of St. Timothy Parish in Union, KY, Covington Turners and was a dispatch manager with TANK. Greg loved spending time with friends and family, never missing one of his children's sporting events. He enjoyed swimming and traveling and also volunteering with various charities and organizations. In his spare time he enjoyed watching sports on TV and attending live sporting events, drinking Keystone beer and eating sunflower seeds. Greg was preceded in death by his parents: Clyde Laws and Patricia Laws Hale, children: Christopher Laws and Hannah Laws and grandchild: Pope Laws. He is survived by his loving wife of 20 years: Wanda Laws; children: Greg (Heather) Laws, Jr., Sarah Laws, Cody Laws and Abigail Laws; brothers: Clyde "Buddy" Laws and D.J. Hale; grandchildren: Jacob and Hailey; many friends and his beloved dog: Tootsie. Visitation will be on Friday, October 16, 2020 at St. Timothy Catholic Church, 10272 US 42, Union, KY 41091 from 9:00 AM until the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM. Interment: St. Mary Cemetery, Ft. Mitchell, KY. Connley Brothers Funeral Home, Latonia, KY is serving the family. Greg was always there whenever there was a need. As A cousin and a friend,He was a truly beautiful person and I will miss his unique sense of humor. He will be loved and missed by all who knew him.He always had a smile on his face and was a blessing to be around. I am grateful to have known him and send my deepest condolences.

Greg - Thank you for being a friend. I was a little younger than you back in the days we worked together, but our car rides to and from work were memorable. You taught me some life lessons in those days. 1 Lesson I try to carry on to this day is: When I get home from work, I do not want to think about work, I do not want to be bothered, I just want to sit on my front porch, drink an ice cold beer, and listen to the ballgame on the radio! Humility is the quality of being humble and means putting the needs of another person before your own, and thinking of others before yourself. That is what Greg did his whole his life of 62 years. He taught me so much in 57 years I have known him - Humility – Trust – Faith - Friendship and Love to name a few. We will never forget someone who has given us so many memories to remember. Greg is one of the most gracious and thoughtful people I have ever met. We were coworkers at St. Elizabeth Healthcare, but more than that, we were friends. Greg exemplified what it truly means to be a Christian by offering to donate a kidney to me when I was in renal failure. He lived his faith. That was only one of many examples of Greg’s compassion and benevolence towards others. I treasure those times I had lunch with him, Wanda and Abigail. We share with Wanda and her family the loss of a very special man God blessed us with and who enriched our earthly lives by simply being Greg. Our prayers go heavenward for Wanda and the Laws family. I worked with Greg for many years at TANK. Greg was always pleasant and upbeat with a constant smile. We had a running joke that he always called me "Mr Moser" even though we were close in age. Greg will be greatly missed by all who knew him. May he rest in peace.

Greg always used to introduce me as "the guy who helped me make it through high school". I think I might have helped him out a little. But Greg was always a guy that anybody would want to help. And he surely returned any help I ever gave him...many times over. From kindergarten through 12th grade, there were lots of memories [shooting hoops in the St A schoolyard, hitting White Castle after a late night high school sporting event, etc). Good time. Miss ya Greg.
