To the whole Ryan clan, you have my deepest sympathies. I was shocked when my daughter, Katie, told me that she had passed away. Together we were volunteers at St. Gabriel for almost 20 years as we raised our children. Whether it was PTA, serving as room mothers and cafeteria helpers, presenting Everybody Counts, tallying magazine and candy sales, helping at Field Day, the Halloween Bazaar or festivals, Janice was a constant presence and a dear friend. Although our lives have taken us in different directions, I know the pain of losing your mom near the holidays. As a wise friend told me years ago, “When you lose a loved one at a young age, you do not have to watch them grow old”. Janice will forever be remembered as a vibrant, beautiful and gracious lady. I rejoice at having known her!
