Walter "Walt" Alan Darpel, 79, of Cincinnati, OH, formerly of Covington, KY, passed away on Tuesday, November 4, 2025. He was a U.S. Army Veteran who served during the Vietnam Era. Walt was of the Catholic faith and was a graduate of Covington Catholic High School in Park Hills, KY. He retired from Kroger after 25+ years of service. Walt was an avid outdoorsman. He loved nature and taking walks in the park. Walt was a very kind and generous man. He was preceded in death by his parents: Louis and Elizabeth Darpel and siblings: Lou Darpel, Mary Ann Fulmer and Ray Darpel. Walt is survived by his siblings: Joe (Julie) Darpel, Carole McCubbin and Bob Darpel and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will take place on Friday, November 7, 2025 from 9:00 AM until the Catholic Blessing at 11:00 AM at Connley Brothers Funeral Home, 11 East Southern Avenue, Covington (Latonia), KY 41015. Interment with an Honor Guard Service will follow at Northern Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North, 205 Eibeck Lane, Williamstown, KY 41097.
