Nancy Ellen Freeman, 70, of Cleves, OH, passed away on Thursday, December 11, 2025. She was a retired seamstress, co-owner of the former Swinford Roofing for 20 years and former manager with Shell Gilligan Oil in Sayler Park, OH. Nancy enjoyed collecting beanie babies. She loved car racing and stone-cold Steve Austin. Nancy enjoyed spending time outside, tending to her plants and gardening. She especially loved traveling to the Smoky Mountains with her family. Nancy was preceded in death by her mother: Rose Powell; father: Ed Powell; father: Henry Swinford and his wife: Joyce. She is survived by her loving husband of 32 years: James "Duck" Freeman; children: (late: little John), Krystal (Jeff) Scott, (late: Kelly (late: Chris) Cook), Keri (Anthony Veach) Patrick, Ashley Freeman, Teri Freeman, and Darryl Freeman; siblings: (late: Barb (living: Pete) Carter), Rose (Jason) Hollingsworth, Kenny (Tina) Powell, Lori (Steve) Estep, (late: Gary Powell), (late: Darryl Swinford), Darrin Swinford, and David Swinford; grandchildren: Andrew (Ashley), Tyler, Nick (Natasha), Michael, Frank (Jessica), Ariane, Hailey (Alec), Olivia (Dylan), Hannah, Ashlynn, Abigail, Alexandria, Damien, Jayden, J.P., Carter, Caidence, (late: Isaiah) and Patience; 13 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service for Nancy will take place at a later date at the convenience of the family. Connley Brothers Funeral Home, Covington (Latonia), KY 41015 is serving the family. Nancy was a friend to me when I had no one. She was a source of strength when I was at my lowest point. She always called me her sunshine but I hope she knew that she was a light to everyone who knew her. Praying for comfort for all who loved her. She was truly an amazing lady.
