Even when we were young children, I always knew Katie was going to do amazing things. She was so smart and showed immeasurable kindness to everyone. I’m incredibly grateful that I was right in thinking that of her – because she was a beautiful human being inside and out. Her kindness, thoughtfulness, and determination never wavered and her spirit will live on through the cities and the people she impacted in her short time with us. She accomplished more in 41 years than most of us could only hope to if we live to be 80. It was a privilege to watch her change the world. My heart goes out to her beloved family during this time of incomprehensible loss.
