Roy Richard Martin, II, 59, of Latonia, KY, passed away on Thursday, August 20, 2026. He was a mechanic throughout his working years, primarily with the former Latco Transmission in Latonia, KY. Roy enjoyed working on cars and building model cars. He loved Ford Mustangs, especially the 1967 Fastback model. Roy was considered a handyman, jack-of-all-trades and an all-around Mr. Fix-it. He was preceded in death by his father: Roy Richard Martin and son: Derrick Royse. Roy is survived by his mother: Dianne (late: James Surrett) Martin; life partner: Vanessa Stevens; children: Joshua (Dannielle) Royse, Kortney (Anthony Miller) Royse and Tyler (Claire Gripshover) Martin; brother: Bill Martin and many loving grandchildren. A Memorial Gathering for Roy will take place on Tuesday, August 25, 2026 from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Connley Brothers Funeral Home, 11 East Southern Avenue, Covington (Latonia), KY 41015. Interment will take place at a later date at the convenience of the family at Independence Cemetery in Independence, KY.
