I’m estranged from my family. I only just found out about Uncle Jimmy when I was discussing with others who I look like and was looking for pictures. Since I’m not in touch, it might appear against my better judgment to post a condolence. However, I needed to to let everyone know that despite whatever demons Jimmy had, he was a top-notch human being. Always jovial, always had a funny story, and always willing to give you the shirt off his back. As a testament to that, Uncle Jimmy first learned back in the late 80s from a paternal uncle upon running into him at a bar that I was gay, and the other uncle was laughing mockingly about it. Jimmy told my mother he nearly punched the him. That’s Jimmy! In a place that is still well behind the times embracing gay people, Jimmy was without judgment. Sadly, at my brother’s funeral in August 2013 I could tell Jimmy looked like someone that didn’t have a lot longer left to live. It’s a shame he didn’t take better care of himself. Rest in peace, uncle.

I remember Jimmy from High School, we graduated the same year, ’69. Haven’t seen him since then, I moved away right after graduation, but I do fondly remember Jimmy. He was a HELLOFA nice guy. Had a warming smile. My heart goes out to you in your loss, its all our loss.

Dear family…I am so sorry to hear about your loss. Your loved one will be missed by family and friends he will not be forgotten by our heavenly father. We often wonder can the dead really live again. Jesus’ words found at (John 5:28,29) says there will be a resurrection so your loved one will have the prospect of living forever. (Psalms 37:29) I hope this will bring you comfort knowing that you have an opportunity to see him again to share more wonderful times together.
