To the family of Velma Mullins,
My Aunt Norma Gemaechlich told me of the passing of Aunt Velma. I’m very sorry to hear about your loss. I only met her on a few occassions. Once when she traveled back to Oklahoma for my grandather’s, Glenn Mullins, funeral. Then about four years ago when my wife and I stopped by in Covington to visit while we were traveling across country. She was a very lively woman.
I assume Norma probably told you that Velma’s sister and my grandmother, Wanda Mullins, passed away on April 26. She was 94 years old. Even in my grandmother’s final days, she would still talk about Velma and LeRoy. She would reminisce about their days growing up on the farm in Bessie. She loved her sister very much. Both Velma and Wanda lived long and happy lives, but no matter how long they’re on this earth with us, we still miss them when they are gone.
Again, on behalf of your family back in Oklahoma, we send our deepest condolences.
