Jimmie Lee Wells, 79, of Taylor Mill, KY, passed away on Thursday, February 14, 2019. He was a retired inspector with General Motors and enjoyed fox hunting with his dogs. One of Jimmie's greatest joys was spending time with his family. "To say this man was the greatest man I've ever known isn't enough. To say he was the greatest daddy a kid could ever dream of having isn't enough. To say he was the greatest friend, husband, papaw, brother, provider, protector, the most loyal, strong, brave, courageous, generous, easy going, kind man that ever walked this earth just doesn't express how amazing he was." Jimmie was preceded in death by his sister: Elizabeth Fletcher; brother: Everett Schrader and grandson: Dylan Wells. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years: Ruth Hensley Wells; daughters: Debbie (Tim) Metz and Christy Ashcraft; sons: James (Jane) Slusher and Dwight (Cindy) Wells; grandchildren: Kylie Ashcraft, Shane Metz and Jeremy Metz and great-grandson Cameron Metz. A memorial gathering will be held at Connley Brothers Funeral Home, 11 East Southern Avenue, Covington (Latonia), KY 41015, on Monday, February 18, 2019 from 4:30 PM until the time of the memorial service at 6:00 PM.
