Bernard "Bernie" H. Rechtin, 89, of Fort Wright, Kentucky passed away on Wednesday, December 28, 2022. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran, a member of Holy Cross Church and an AARP member. Bernie was preceded in death by his wife: Eunice M. Rechtin; siblings: Henry Rechtin and Mary McGuire and his parents who immigrated from Germany. He is survived by his children: Teresa (Ret. Col. James) Rice, Bernard Thomas (Mariellen) Rechtin, Rebecca Brophy and Rita (Dr. Robert) Burnett; sister: Anna Marie Stillwell; grandchildren: Stephen Gregory, Molly, Andrew, Maria, Michael, Marta, Mark, Matthew, Maximilian, Martin, Ian and Allison and great-grandchildren: Hadley and Jaycee. Visitation will take place at Holy Cross Church, 3612 Church Street, Covington (Latonia), KY 41015 on Friday, January 20, 2023 from 11:00 AM until the Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 PM (Noon).
