Bessie Mae Gourd, 81, of Dry Ridge, KY passed away on Saturday, November 30, 2019. She was a seamstress for the Parisian Clothing Company for 25 years and later retiring from Walmart in the craft department. Bessie was a member of the Sew N Sew Quilters Club in Corning, IA and enjoyed crafting. She was preceded in death by her husband: Jack Gourd in 2011; parents: Arthur and Susie Jackson; daughter: Teresa Kinman; granddaughter: Tessa Rene Hill; sister: Jessie Schamel and brother: Donald Jackson. Bessie is survived by her daughter: Peggy (Mustapha) Amellal; son: Daryl Wood; 6 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and special friend: Belinda Kinmon. A Celebration of her Life is being planned for the Spring of 2020. Connley Brothers Funeral Home is serving the family.
