Betty Jean Voorhees, age 79 of Fort Wright, KY passed away on Fri., March 16, 2012 at St. Elizabeth Health Care Hospice in Fort Thomas, KY. She Retired from Travelers Insurance Company in Cincinnati, OH as an Account Manager. A member of Holy Cross Church where she was also a volunteer. She was a Graduate of Holy Cross High School where she also became the Secretary in the early 1960’s. She was preceded in death by a Son: Thomas Voorhees in 1954 and 2 Brothers: William Bishop and James Bishop. Betty is survived by 2 Daughters: Cindy M. Feldhaus of Cincinnati, OH & Linda J. Henson of Hebron, KY, 2 Sons: Bill (Kathy) Voorhees of Edgewood, KY & Mike (Carol) Voorhees of Cincinnati, OH., 11 Grandchildren: Bill, Brian, Jessica, Michael, Lisa, Christy, Julie, Matthew, Tim, Nathan and Katie, and 11 Great Grandchildren. The Visitation will be on Mon., March 19, 2012 at Connley Brothers Funeral Home in Latonia, KY from 4 PM until Prayers at 7 PM. Mass of Christian Burial on Tues., March 20, 2012 at Holy Cross Church at 10 AM. Interment in Mother of God Cemetery in Fort Wright, KY. Memorials to: COTA In Honor of Johnathan Voorhees P.O. When I was a student at Holy Cross,Mrs.Voorhees always had time to listen and advise students ,even though her job was administrative. I have never forgotten her freindliness and advice. God bless her.
