Billy Henegar, 77, of Independence, KY passed away Monday, February 10, 2014 at his home. He was in the U.S. Marine Corps for 8 years before joining the U.S. Navy from which he retired as a Senior Chief Petty Officer after 19 years of service. Billy was a member of Latonia Christian Church, he loved working with wood, building homes and bird houses. He was a true Craftsman. He is preceded in death by his Parents: John David Henegar and Bessie Lowing Henegar; Daughter: Billie Ray Gibson in 2013; Granddaughter: Cindy “Pee Wee” Moore Parker in 2004; Brothers: John David Henegar, Jay Henegar and Thomas Henegar; Sisters: Edna Poth, Betty Monning and Edith Anderson. Billy is survived by his Loving Wife: Delores Henegar; Sons: Walter (Barb) Henegar of South Carolina; Frank Henegar of Independence, KY and Thomas (Shannon) Henegar of Independence, KY; Daughters: Eva Jane (Glenn) Moore of Currie, NC; Shirley (James) Swift of Millinton, TN; Kathy Brown of Memphis, TN and Patricia Middlebrooke of Florida; Brother: Arnold Henegar of Oxford, OH; Sisters: Eva Jane Hale Of Maryville, TN and Dolly Kirby of Tampa, FL; 17 Grandchildren and Several Great Grandchildren. Visitation will be Thursday, February 13, 2014 from 9:00 AM until time of Funeral Service at 12:00 Noon at the Latonia Christian Church. Interment will follow at the Highland Cemetery in Fort Mitchell, KY where an Honor Guard Service will take place.
