Carl Vernon McCord, 86, of Vills Hills, KY, passed away on Friday, October 30, 2020. He was a retired general manager for the Kroger Company, a former Corporal in the US Army during the Korean Conflict, purple heart recipient and a member of the American Legion Post 203. Carl was a former member of the Mariemount Fire Department and an avid traveler and sports fan. He was preceded in death by his parents: Clarence and Rachel McCord; brothers: Clarence McCord and William McCord. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years: Joyce A. McCord; children: Kent (the late Ronda) McCord, Kurt McCord, Kyla McCord, Kraig (Regina) McCord and Kriss (Kimberly) McCord; 10 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be on Saturday, November 21, 2020 from 1:00 PM until the Memorial Service at 3:00 PM at Connley Brothers Funeral Home, 11 East Southern Avenue, Covington (Latonia), KY 41015.
