Charles “Chucky Boy” Edwin Purvis, 56 of Somerset, KY formerly of Latonia, KY passed away peacefully on January 11, 2014 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, KY. “This is the day that the Lord has made, let us be glad and rejoice in it.” He was an avid UK fan and a NASCAR fan. Chucky Boy loved cars, books and any kind of road trip. He was always seen with a smile on his face. He will truly be missed by all who touched his life. He is preceded in death by his Father & Mother, Edwin E. Purvis and Ruth A. Purvis. Chucky Boy leaves behind 2 Sisters: Marlene Spade of Latonia, KY and Donna (Bill) Huth of Latonia, KY; Nephews: Bryan Fitzwater of Elsmere, KY, Eric Hamel of Wyoming and Aaron Hamel of Bellevue, KY; Niece: Kim (Tony) Wuest of Independence, KY; Several Great Nephews and also leaves behind a Large Extended family at Oakwood Communities in Somerset, KY. The Visitation will be on Tuesday, January 14, 2014 at Connley Brothers Funeral Home in Latonia, KY from 12 NOON until the Catholic Blessing at 2 PM. My condolence to you and your family. I have walked in your shoes. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
I had the opportunity to get to know Chucky when I worked in his cottage at Oakwood. He was always smiling and he could brighten up your day if you was having a not so good day. He is up there in Heaven having a great time. I will miss you Chucky.
