Connie “Sis” Hazel Clendenen, age 79 of Latonia, KY passed away on Friday, March 1, 2013 at St. Elizabeth Health Care Hospice in Edgewood, KY. She Retired from Western-Southern Life Insurance Company in Cincinnati, Ohio after 34 years as an Assistant Manager. A member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Latonia, KY. She was preceded in death by 3 Sisters: Joby Kavanaugh, Jenny Johnson and Evie Spetnagel and a Niece: Sheryl Willett. Connie is survived by her Brother: Ray Clendenen of Florence, KY; 3 Nieces: Patti (Chuck) Richards, Nancy (Mel) Corman and Faye (Scott) Shook; 7 Nephews: Danny Clendenen, Jimmy Johnson, Dean Spetnagel, Ward Spetnagel, Jeff Johnson, Don Kavanaugh and Steve (Gina) Kavanaugh; 19 Great Nieces & Nephews and 15 Great Great Nieces & Nephews. The Visitation will be on Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at Connley Brothers Funeral Home in Latonia, KY from 11 AM until the Funeral Service at 1 PM. Interment in Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Erlanger, KY. Connie was such a sweet person. I met her while she was living at Emeritus.My mom lives there and they always had lunch together at the same table.She helped my mom along and she surely kept me cheered up .I enjoyed stories of her growing up and she shared family memories with us.I will miss her so much.
I am so sorry for your loss. I worked with Hazel many years ago at Western-Southern. I was just starting out and I remember how kind and helpful she was to a young girl. She will be missed.
