Dan Karrick, 66, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, April 12, 2015. He retired from his family’s business, Blue Ribbon Meat Provisions in Cincinnati, OH, where he started working at the age of 14. After retiring he worked at the Florence, KY Walmart Deli and was a driver with Community Services of Northern Kentucky, Inc. Dan was a member of St. Agnes Church in Fort Wright, KY. He enjoyed spending time with his granddaughters, going on family vacations, cycling, fitness and living a healthy lifestyle. He was preceded in death by his parents: Harold and Grace Karrick and sister: Lisa Clifford. Dan is survived by his daughter: Rachell Karrick Hansen; son: Scott Karrick; grandchildren: Sydnie, Sophia and Sela; sisters: Donna Zimmerman and Sandy Beck; brothers: Ron Karrick and Jim Karrick and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be on Thursday, April 16, 2015 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM Prayers at Connley Brothers Funeral Home in Latonia, KY. Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Agnes Church, 1680 Dixie Hwy, Fort Wright, KY 41011 on Friday, April 17, 2015 at 11:30 AM. Interment will be in St. John Cemetery in Fort Mitchell, KY. To my Uncle Dan. I want to thank you for raising such wonderful kids! I want to thank you for the first fishing trip I ever took at the backup waters of big bone. I want to thank you for the first trip to Florida. I want to thank you for being like a father to me. I never told you THANK YOU for everything. That is one of my big regrets in life.
