Darlene Sue Schewene, 68, of Independence, KY passed away on Saturday, June 11, 2022. She was a homemaker and attended Holy Cross Church. Darlene loved her cats. She enjoyed riding bicycles, watching fireworks, attending festivals and car shows, traveling to Graceland and feeding the animals that visited her backyard. Darlene was preceded in death by her parents: John and Beatrice Sturgill and brother: Larry Sturgill. She is survived by her loving husband of 42 years: Cliff Schewene; brother: William Sturgill; sisters: Diana (Mike) Sander and Jeanie (Daniel) Case and several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Thursday, June 16, 2022 at Holy Cross Church, 3612 Church Street, Covington (Latonia), KY 41015 at 1:00 PM with Visitation beginning at 11:00 AM.
