I knew the Gilliam family for many, many years and spent countless hours at the rink and made many friends due to having a place that they provided that was safe and fun!!! I could go on and on about all the good times, people and his family, but now it is time to say rest in peace my friend, you will surely be missed by all who you touched in your life!!!!

My sincere condolences to the family, and friends of Dave . I knew him since he was just a little kid of about 10 years old from Lloyd's Roller Rink. His cousins, Dow & Diane Manning lived above us when they and myself were in kindergarten at 4th District school in the early 1950's. I have so many memories of Dave, because everybody hung out at the Rink. He was close friends with my younger brother Tommy, and sometimes Lloyd would let some of Dave's friends stay all night at the Rink. Dave visited us here in Las Vegas a couple of times, and I was fortunate to see him at one of the parties held by Bill & Bonnie Meiman a couple of years back. He was really a very nice guy, and will be missed by all who knew him. Rest in peace my friend. And as his mother used to say over the P.A. system, "All skate, and please skate slowly".
