Dean W. Glacken, 79, of Latonia, KY, passed away on Saturday, April 7, 2018. He was a longtime member of Newport Keturah Street Church of God where he was also an Usher. Dean worked as a machinist for R.K. LeBlond for almost 30 years and then as a Maintenance Worker for Clarion Hotels for 10 years until retirement. He was an avid sports fan who especially loved drag racing. Dean was a dedicated family man who loved spending time with his family and friends. He was a very handy man who could fix anything and had a passion for helping others.
Dean was preceded in death by his beloved 1st wife: Carthena Carol Glacken and son: Kevin Glacken. He is survived by his beloved 2nd wife: Delores Mohrmeyer Glacken; daughters: Stephanie (Jeff) Powell and Regina Jones; sons: Zane (Cindy) Mohrmeyer and Derek (Kelly) Mohrmeyer; sisters: Thelma Wallace, Bess Schwallie, Lois Glacken and Marge Alterio; 6 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
A Visitation will take place on Tuesday, April 10, 2018 from 11:00 A.M. until the Funeral Service at 1:00 P.M. at Newport Keturah Church of God, 401 Keturah Street, Newport, KY 41071. Interment: Highland Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to St. Elizabeth Healthcare Hospice, 483 South Loop Road, Edgewood, KY 41017.
