Dennis Roy New, Sr., 86, of Taylor Mill, KY, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 19, 2026. He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran, serving during the Vietnam Era, and a member of Latonia Christian Church in Latonia, KY. Dennis was a retired railroad conductor after 40 years of service. He proudly served as a police officer with Taylor Mill, KY, Fort Wright, KY, Kenton County Sheriff's Department and the Internal Revenue Service. Dennis loved photography and had a heart for growing plants and flowers. He adored spending time getting to watch his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Dennis was preceded in death by his loving wife: Thelma J. "Jodi" New; son: Dennis Roy New, Jr. and step-daughter: Kristin Lashua. He is survived by his daughter: Elise (Richard) Baucum; daughter-in-law: Janet New; grandchildren: Brandy (Michael) Pearcy, Lauren (Dustin) Mills, Brianna Baucum, Aaron Courtney, Elijah Lashua and great-grandchildren: Annalynn, Sarah, Raelynn, Riley and Rory. Visitation will take place on Tuesday, October 27, 2026 from 9:00 AM until the Funeral Service at 10:30 AM at Connley Brothers Funeral Home, 11 East Southern Avenue, Covington (Latonia), KY 41015. Interment will follow at 12:00 PM (Noon) at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North, 205 Eibeck Lane, Williamstown, KY 41097.
