Dessie Davis, 83, of Newport, KY, passed away on Sunday, October 1, 2017. She was a longtime member of Latonia Christian Church. Dessie wore many hats; she was a singer, songwriter, tavern owner, Insurance Agent, KY Colonel and friend to many. She worked in the Insuarance Industry for 39 years. After that, she worked at the Latonia Kroger for 14 years and left there due to illness in 2014. Dessie was preceded in death by her sons: Kevin Faulkner and Dana Davis. She is survived by her daughter: Suzanne Davis; sons: Kenneth Faulkner, Jerry Faulkner, Herbert Faulkner and Gregory Faulkner; 9 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. A visitation will be held on Thursday, October 5, 2017 from 10:00 A.M. until the funeral service at 12:00 P.M. (Noon) at Connley Brothers Funeral Home, 11 East Southern Avenue, Covington (Latonia), KY 41015. Interment: Mother of God Cemetery. Suzanne and all, my heartfelt sympathy to you all. Your mom was so special. She was like a 2nd mom to me growing up. Suzanne and I were the best of friends and Dessie always made sure we had fun. So many memories. I loved her and I love you all. My prayers are with you.

I’m very sorry to hear about Dessie’s passing. I wish that I could make the trip home to pay my respects in person, but will never forget what a caring, sweet person she always was. She will be remembered well by many. My sincere condolences and much love to her family.
