Donald C. Wendling, 84, of Fort Wright, KY, passed away on Sunday, April 9, 2023. He was a retired meter reader with CG&E and a member of St. Anthony Church. Don enjoyed dancing, he was an avid and accomplished golfer having achieved 8 holes in one and a skilled master carpenter. He was a humble man who was loved by all and always had a joke. Don was preceded in death by his wife: Mary Jeannine Wischer Wendling; granddaughter: Beth Wendling; brother: Tom Wendling and sister: Shirley (Frank) Bamberger. He is survived by: daughters: Laura Wever and Kathy (Mike) Noe; sons: John Wendling, Danny Wendling and Steve (Jenny) Wendling; sister-in-law: Helen Wendling; 13 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will take place at Holy Cross Church, 3612 Church Street, Covington (Latonia), KY 41015 on Wednesday, April 12, 2023 from 10:30 AM until the eulogy at 12:15 PM with a Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 12:30 PM. Interment: Mother of God Cemetery, Ft. Wright, KY. A gathering will follow at the Covington Moose Lodge # 1469, 5247 Taylor Mill Road, Taylor Mill, KY 41015. Memorials are suggested to: St. Elizabeth Healthcare Hospice, 483 South Loop Road, Edgewood, KY 41017. Connley Brothers Funeral Home, Covington (Latonia), KY is serving the family. To Don’s family…I am sorry to hear of Don’s passing.I wish I had known….he was one of the best friends my husband, Harry had, and he was just a special man, to me, also. I know he and Jack Nolan and Harry are golfing together upstairs. God Bless Don

My deepest condolences to the Wendling family. I worked with Don in the Meter Reading department and he always had a smile on his face. I'm sad to hear about his passing however, God has bigger plans for Don. Until we meet again, rest in peace Don Wendling.

So sorry to hear this sad news about a fellow Meter Reader and a member of the Ju Bee Dee's social club. We had many good time together bowling or golfing and socializing.
