Donald "Dean" Edward Schawe, 85 of Taylor Mill, KY passed away on Thursday, July 28th, 2022 at his residence. Dean was a retired railroad clerk with CSX Fruit Growers Express. He was a lifelong member of St. Anthony Parish. Dean enjoyed fishing, cutting grass, gardening, and going to the casino. He was a huge UK and Cincinnati Reds Fan. He was preceded in death by his brothers: Robert (late: Lynn) Schawe and Tom (late: Pauline) Schawe and sister: Dorothy Schawe (late: Tom) Pearce. Dean is survived by his loving wife of 65 years: Jane Barhorst Schawe; sons: Ben (Karen) Schawe, Doug (Michele) Schawe, Dale (Lisa) Schawe and Vincent (Lisa) Schawe; 8 grandchildren: Lauren, Brett, Blake, Sarah, Hannah, Katie, Allie, Sammie; 4 great-grandchildren and one on the way: Shaylee, Finn, Ada and Crew; brother: Bill (Lu Ann) Schawe and several nieces and nephews. A visitation will take place on Wednesday, August 3, 2022 from 10:00AM until Mass of Christian Bural at 12:00 PM (Noon) at St. Anthony Catholic Church, 485 Grand Avenue, Taylor Mill, KY 41015. Burial will take place at Mother of God Cemetery, Fort Wright, KY. Memorials in Dean's name may be made to St. Anthony Church Building Fund.
