Dorothy “Dot” Marie Ficke, age 96 of Latonia, KY passed away on Thursday, April 18, 2013 at her home. She Retired from Latonia Bakery as a Sales Person. Dot was a member of Holy Cross Church. She loved spending time with her family and her favorite things to do were to go shopping and cheering on University of Kentucky Basketball. She was preceded in death by her Husband, James Thomas Ficke in 2002. Dot is survived by her Daughters: Janice F. Kleem of Villa Hills, KY, Linda L. Nageleisen (Jim) of Edgewood, KY, Debbie A. Schmidt (Raymond) of Edgewood, KY and Kathleen F. Hartke (Doug) of Ft. Wright, KY; Sons: Jerry T. Ficke of Villa Hills, KY and Randy J. Ficke (Mary) of Lakeside Park, KY; 16 Grandchildren and 17 Great Grandchildren. The Visitation will be on Saturday, April 20, 2013 at Holy Cross Church from 9:30 AM until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM. Interment in St. Mary Cemetery in Ft. Mitchell, KY. The world has lost a truly wonderful and precious woman, my heart is so saddened. My prayers go out to each and everyone of her children and grandchildren..Mrs Ficke was a wonderful woman whom I dearly loved, she was like a Grandma to me.. Blackburn Street will never be the same..
