Irene Smith, 96, of Latonia, KY, passed away on Friday, January 19, 2018. She was a homemaker and a member of Latonia Baptist Church. Irene was preceded in death by her loving husband: Ovia H. Smith; granddaughter: Kelly Thomason; sister: Elva Nantz and brother: Archie Steele. She is survived by her daughter: Joyce (Ken) Thomason; brother: Charles (Leslie) Steele; granddaughter: Karen Story and great-granddaughter: Robyn (Mike) Ray. A visitation will be a Connley Brothers Funeral Home, 11 East Southern Avenue, Covington (Latonia), KY 41015 on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM. A graveside service and interment will take place at Rest Haven Cemetery in Corbin, KY on Thursday, January 25, 2018 at 12:00 PM.
