Esther Jane Vollmer, 96, of Latonia, Kentucky, formerly a long time resident of Bellevue, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, May 16, 2015 at St. Elizabeth Healthcare in Fort Thomas, Kentucky. She was a member of the Dayton Baptist Church in Dayton, Kentucky and a retired bakery clerk with the Colonade Restaurant in Cincinnati, Ohio. Jane loved growing roses at her Bellevue, Kentucky home and she enjoyed reading and traveling. She was preceded in death by her husband: Philip L. Vollmer. Jane is survived by her son: Robert L. Vollmer; sister: Laura Conrady and brothers: Donald Ladenburger and Jerry Ladenburger. Visitation will be on Tuesday, May 19, 2015 from 10A.M. until the funeral service at 11 A.M. at Connley Brothers Funeral Home in Latonia, Kentucky. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Southgate, Kentucky. Memorials are suggested to the Arthritis Foundation at Arthritis.org. Dear Robert & Family: You may not recall who I am but my mother, Mabel Walz worked with your mother at the Colonade Restaurant. I use to stop in there for their delicious pies and cakes. Your mother was so sweet to everyone she met. She had a memorable personality. My condolences to you and your family.
