Florence Marie Howard, 96, of Burlington, KY, passed away on Thursday, July 30, 2026. She was a life-long member of Immanuel Church in Lakeside Park, KY, and a 1947 graduate of Covington Holmes High School. Florence worked for her family's business for nearly 40 years: United Radio, Inc. She also worked as a switchboard operator with Cincinnati Bell Telephone and was an elevator operator in the Carew Tower in Cincinnati, OH. Florence's claim to fame was that she was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents: Frank and Marie Stout and sister: Frances Horwitz. She is survived by her loving husband of 77 years: James B. Howard; children: Jana Lynn (David) Woods, Jennifer Ann (late: Les) McGlasson and Annette (Jeff) Shields; siblings: Carol Wiggins and Frank (Peggy) Stout; grandchildren: Mike (Sandy) Woods, Matthew (Margaux) McGlasson, Josh (Chrissy) Shields, Jimmy (Chanta) Shields, Annie (Romain) Woods and Patrick (Bethany) McGlasson; 13 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will take place on Wednesday, August 5, 2026 from 10:00 AM until the Memorial Service at 12:00 PM (Noon) at Immanuel Church, 2551 Dixie Highway, Lakeside Park, KY 41017.
