Freda Catherine Sharp, 97, of Latonia, KY, passed away on Wednesday, January 10, 2024. She was a member of Holy Cross Church and a 1944 graduate of Holy Cross High School. Freda was a retired manager with the IRS in Covington, KY. Following retirement, she worked at Bernhardt's Bakery in Latonia, KY. She was a member and past president of the former St. Helen's Society and an avid bowler. Freda was preceded in death by her husband: Lawrence James Sharp: parents: Tony and Ellie Brandner; son: Michael Sharp and siblings: Alma (Robert) Schweitzer and Carl (Laura) Brandner. She is survived by her children: Paula Baker, Tony Sharp and Keith (Darla) Sharp; grandchildren: Jeff (Lisa) Woods, Chris Woods, Michael (DeAnn) Sharp, David (Melanie) Sharp, Kyle Strinko, Amber Sharp and Nathane (Courtney) Sharp and 13 great-grandchildren. Visitation will take place on Tuesday, January 16, 2024 at Holy Cross Church, 3612 Church Street, Covington, KY 41015 from 10:00 AM until the eulogy at 11:50 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 PM (Noon). Interment will take place on a later date at: Mother of God Cemetery, Ft. Wright, KY. Memorials are suggested to: St. Jude Children's Research Hospital c/o st.jude.org.
