Gene N. McCord, 92, of Latonia, KY, passed away on Thursday, August 8, 2024. He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran, serving during the Korean Conflict. Gene was an Independent Real Estate Broker for McCord Realty and an L&N Railroad yard foreman for 15 years. He was a Kenton County Magistrate for 4 years and served as Deputy Constable for Kenton County. Gene was also the local representative of the United Transportation Union, Local #1353 for 34 years. He was preceded in death by his parents: Clarence and Rachel McCord and brothers: Clarence McCord, William McCord and Carl V. McCord. Gene is survived by his loving wife of 67 years: Joyce Knasel McCord; sons: Mark (Holly) McCord and Dirk McCord; granddaughter: Rachel McCord Kennedy and great-granddaughter: Rosalie Conn. Visitation will take place on Thursday, August 15, 2024 from 9:30 AM until the Funeral Service at 11:00 AM at Connley Brothers Funeral Home, 11 East Southern Avenue, Covington (Latonia), KY 41015.
