George A. "Buddy" Ficke, 81, of Edgewood, KY, passed away on Saturday, November 12, 2022 with his family by his side. He was born on September 30, 1941 to George and Margaret Ficke in Covington, KY. George married the love of his life, Virginia Gregory Ficke whom he lovingly called: Shir-ginipinichicanini, in January of 1964 and together they welcomed four beautiful children into the world. He was a dedicated family man and lived to serve his children, they were his life. George is survived by his loving wife of 59 years: Virginia Ficke; children: Mindy (Rob) Gibson and Pamela Ficke Osborne; Christopher (Melodie) Ficke and Michael (Sadie) Ficke; four wonderful grandchildren: Gabriella, Hayden, Addyson and Lilian, three beautiful nieces and Virginia's loving family from Virginia Beach. A private service for the family has taken place. Connley Brothers Funeral Home, Covington (Latonia), KY is serving the family. In lieu of flowers Memorials are suggested to your local Human Society.
