Geraldine H. Hammons, age 71 of Independence, KY passed away on Sun., Dec. 18, 2011 at St. Elizabeth Health Care Hospice in Edgewood, KY. She retired from Overhead Door in Latonia, KY as an Assembler. She attended Kento Boo Baptist Church in Florence, KY. She was preceded in death by a Daughter: Darla Hammons in 1975.
Geraldine is survived by her Daughter: Marlene Riley of Independence, KY, Son: Darryl Hammons of Covington, KY, Sisters: Marilyn Newton of Florida, Allene Tucker of Burlington, KY, Diane Bearden of Burlington, KY and Shirley Tucker of Harrison, OH, Brothers: Harold Hacker of Florence, KY, Rick Hacker of Ryland Heights, KY and Dale Hacker of Hebron, KY and 3 Grandchildren: Robbie, Leigha and Adrian. The Visitation will be on Wed., Dec. 21, 2011 at Connley Brothers Funeral Home in Latonia, KY from 10 AM until the Funeral Service at 12 NOON. Interment in Floral Hills in Taylor Mill, KY. Our thoughts and prayers are with you today as you go thru this difficult time. Bill loved your Mom and always talked about how she made the best pork chops and gravy (just for him!) When I met her, she told me to treat Billy right and we’d have a good marriage. She accepted me and was always nice and so sweet. Rest in peace Geraldine, see you someday.
