I met Gerda about 7 years ago when she and I were both sponsors for the RCIA program. She always had a kind word and smile for everyone. I’m so sad to know that she has left us, but I know that she has been welcomed into Heaven and had a most wonderful Easter. My prayers are with Gerda and her family. She will be very much missed at Mother of God Church.

Gerda and I were neighbors for over 11 years. She was such a dear sweet lady. I will miss her smiling face and kind words. I will pray for her family during this time of loss.
Deepest sympathy to you all.

I worked with Gerda at 423 Greenup Street for several years in the 1980’s. I remember her bright smile and helpful demeanor even after all these years without seeing her. As she continues on her life journey from this human form into her original spiritual form, Gerda will without a doubt continue to be the same bright blessing she has always been. Thank you, Gerda for showing up on earth for a scant 78 years of time.

My heart feels heavy right now knowing I’ll not see my friend at church. I will however, see her in another life. She and I go back about 25 years. She was always cheerful with a smile on her face. We always hugged when we saw each other, because we had a special fondness for each other. I will really miss her. Thank you Gerda for being my friend.
