Gilbert Glen Chipps, 84, passed away on Saturday, May 16, 2015 at his residence in Edgewood, KY. He retired from the U.S. Army as a Sergeant Major after 30 years of service, serving during the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam Era. He was preceded in death by his Wife: Mary Virginia Chipps. Gilbert is survived by his Daughters: Sue (Thomas) Iha and Carol Willson; Son: David (Lucy) Chipps; Grandchildren: Christie Peters, Tara Pan, Matthew Iha, Cathy Chipps, Jennifer Iha and Kyle Willson and Great-Grandson: Maxwell Peters. All services and visitation will be with Harbert Funeral Home in Salem WV. Connley Brothers Funeral Home in Latonia, Kentucky will be handling local arrangements.
