Gloria Mae (Collins) Kunkemoeller
Villa Hills; Gloria Kunkemoeller age 94, a resident of Madonna
Manor, passed from this world to be reunited with the love of her
life and husband Ralph on August 15, 2024. They had been
married for 71 years at the time of Ralph's death in February
2022.

Gloria and Ralph were well loved as friends, family, neighbors or
from their many church relationships at Mother Of God, Trinity
Episcopal and Zion Lutheran (now Gloria Dei).

Gloria's childhood church was Shinkle Methodist which closed in
the 1980's. The songs and teachings she learned there were
always in her heart and guided her path throughout her life.

The youngest of five siblings, Gloria is pre-deceased by her
parents Edna and Harry L. Collins, her sisters Dorothy (Hampton)
and Lillian (Partin) as well as her brothers Jack and Harry
Kenneth. Gloria and Ralph also lost a daughter, Patti Ann who
died at birth.

Gloria retired in 1991 from the downtown Cincinnati location of
McAlpin's where she worked as a waitress. She proudly initiated
the role of the "Happy Witch" for the popular Halloween
breakfasts with Wayne Martin Puppets. She loved to laugh and
even better to make others laugh!

Gloria is survived by her daughter Lisa and son-in-law Karl
Gutsmann. She leaves behind many who were touched by her
warm smile and caring ways.

A joyful visitation will be on August 21, 2024 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm (noon)
at Connley Brothers Funeral Home, 11 East Southern Avenue,
Latonia, Kentucky 41015. A brief service will follow with a procession to
Highland Cemetery in Fort Mitchell, KY where she will be laid to rest next to her
beloved Ralph. Please honor Gloria's homeward journey
by wearing happy colors.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be made to the
charity of the donors' choice in the spirit of a life well lived
and a woman who was well loved.

Connley Brothers Funeral Home, Covington (Latonia) KY is serving
the family. Online condolences may be expressed on Facebook or

Lisa dear, you’re mother will always hold a special place in my heart. She gave us so much joy when we sang with her at Madonna Manor. Her enthusiasm and love of life was a blessing. While we will miss her, we know she is already enjoying her heavenly home. May God bless you on this sacred journey.

Lisa, I was saddened to hear of your mom’s passing. I was glad I got to visit with her last month - she was as sweet as ever. She was such a good friend to my dad before his passing at Madonna Manor last May. They are both now with their beloved spouses in heaven.
