Henry Douglas “Butch” Godman, Jr., 74, of Florence, KY, passed away on Wednesday, July 11, 2018. He was a Kentucky Colonel and the Owner and Operator of the former Butch Godman’s Union 76 Service Station located at the corner of Buttermilk Pike and Dixie Highway. Butch was preceded in death by his parents: Henry and Helen Godman; wife: Virginia “Ginger” Godman and son: Henry Douglas Godman, III. He is survived by his daughters: Kim (Tony) Baker and Ashleigh (Mike) Schmeltzer; brothers: John Godman and Edward Godman; grandchildren: Kirsten Baker and Anthony Baker, Jr.; great-grandchild: Carter Baker and several nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life will take place on Sunday, July 29, 2018 from 2:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M. at the American Legion Boone Post 4, 8385 US-42, Florence, KY 41042.
