James G. Cleves, 91, of Villa Hills, KY, passed away on Wednesday, February 28, 2018. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during WWII and the Korean Conflict. Jim was a member of St. Joseph Parish and worked in the Sales and Marketing Department of the Coca-Cola Company. He was a past President of Kenton County Lions Club, Past President of Cincinnati Grocers Association, Past President of Cincinnati Police Captains Association, Past President of St. Joseph Holy Name Society, Past President of St. Joseph Happy Timers and Co-Owner of the former Chicken Express in Crescent Springs, KY. Jim was preceded in death by his parents: August and Helen Cleves. He is survived by his beloved wife of 47 years: Ruth A. Cleves; daughters: Pam (Bernie) O’Bryan, Debbie Jansen, Paula (Dean) Rohs, Diane (Phil) Leicht and Kathy (Rick) Hegge; sister: Mary Jane (Bill) Coyle; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-granddaughter. Visitation will be at Connley Brothers Funeral Home, 11 East Southern Avenue, Covington (Latonia), KY 41015, on Saturday, March 3, 2018 from 8:30 AM until Prayers at 10:15 AM. Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Joseph Church, 2470 Lorraine Court, Crescent Springs, KY 41017 on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at 11:00 AM. Interment: St. John Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to St. Joseph Church and/or Redwood School, 71 Orphanage Road, Fort Mitchell, KY 41017. He was such a good brother to my Mom. Family was so important to him. He will be truly missed. I am sorry I am unable to come today. I live in Nashville and was just up last weekend. My thoughts and prayers are with you today and the days ahead.
