James “Jim” Thomas Whittle, Sr., age 85 of Covington, KY passed away on January 21, 2014 at Emeritus at Edgewood. He was a retired Accountant with General Electric for 17 years, Mosler Safe for 7 years and Litton Industries for 15 years. He has served on the Board at Mother of God Cemetery since 2005, a Driver for Avis, Director of Holy Cross Credit Union for 17 years. A Xavier MBA Alumni and an avid Reader. Jim has been a member of Holy Cross Church since 1955. He was also an Air Force Veteran serving as a Radio Operator and Paratrooper. Jim is survived by his Loving Wife: Bernie Whittle; Daughter: Julie (Jim) Halpin of Covington, KY; Sons: Jay (Kathy) Whittle of Fort Wright, KY, Gene Whittle and Gary (Michele Rice) Whittle of Florence, KY; 10 Grandchildren and 1 Great Grandchild. The Visitation will be on Saturday, January 25, 2014 at Connley Brothers Funeral Home in Latonia, KY from 9 AM until Prayers at 11:30 AM, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 12 NOON at Holy Cross Church 3612 Church Street Latonia, KY 41015. So sorry to hear of Jim’s passing. He was a terrific person and always ready to help others and he always seemed to have a smile on his face. What a great life!
