Jared Strup, 39, of Melbourne, KY, passed away on Tuesday, February 24, 2026. He was a 2005 graduate of Beechwood High School in Fort Mitchell, KY, where he was a member of the 2004 Class A State Championship football team. Jared earned his CDL in 2012 and was proud to work as a truck driver for over a decade, most recently with Castellini Company, LLC. He was an avid traveler and foodie. Jared's key destinations were Germany, Japan and Brazil. He liked recreating the dishes he enjoyed on his travels when he returned home. Jared also had a passion for history and was a proud member of Team Rubicon. He was a hard worker, an amazing father and a proud family man. Jared was preceded in death by his father: Bud Strup. Jared is survived by his mother: Arlene S.V. Strup; children: Jared Strup, II and Caleb Hilobuk; brother: Joshua Strup and niece: Abby Strup-Hughes. Services for Jared will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Memorials are suggested to: Team Rubicon c/o teamrubiconusa.org. Bear was a great friend, and an even greater person. To his family, you have my most sincere condolences. Jared was an amazing human being and was my dearest friend who guided me and helped me when I needed it most. This is heartbreaking, we lost one of the best men to ever grace this earth. R.i.p. Jared "Bear" and fly high my friend because you are sincerely missed and loved, you are a legend in every sense of the word.
