When they returned to Ohio, she worked for several organizations in Cincinnati including radio stations WLYK and WRRM, Jewish Vocational Service and the Verdin Company. She served as Board President of Cincinnati Preservation, a non-profit dedicated to protecting and preserving the city's architectural and historical resources. Later she was on the Board of the Hamilton (Ohio) Historical Society. Jerry also enjoyed being "a horse show Mom" with her daughter, watching old movies and mastering puzzles of all kinds.
