Jerry Lee Arlinghaus, 72, of Ft. Mitchell, KY passed away at his residence on Wednesday, September 20th, 2023, surrounded by his 3 favorite girls. Jerry retired from "A Day in the Life" at Delta Airlines after 30 years. In his retirement, he moved from watching the UK Wildcats to watching his grandchildren's sporting events and spent most of his summer days landscaping. He loved nothing more than to travel the world with his wife, family & many friends. "The Long & Winding Road" led him to the love of his life, his surviving wife of nearly 49 years Connie (Meyer). Also surviving, his beautiful daughters Andrea (Adam) Holliday & Maria (Joe) Robertson, and the ones who gave him the title he always dreamed of, Grandpa: Thomas, Matthew, Ada, Eloise, Emery, Anna, Max & Ty. In addition, he is survived by his siblings: Judy (Al) Vinegar, George (Karen) Arlinghaus, Mary (Jeff) Carroll, Jim (Joanne) Arlinghaus, Diane (Jeff) Terrana, Paul (Marlys) Arlinghaus, Cathy (Chip) Pedro and John (Kelli) Arlinghaus and siblings in-law: Linda Arlinghaus, Terry Darpel and Greg (Cindy) Meyer. Jerry was a people connoisseur, having never met a stranger ... to know him was to love him; as such, there are countless friends and family that are left behind to grieve. His loss creates a huge void in all the hearts that knew him, proving that "All You Need is Love." Jerry was a member of Blessed Sacrament Church and had faith so as not to fear his death from this Earth. He is welcomed into Heaven by his parents Albert Herman & Anna (Gripshover) Arlinghaus, his siblings: Albert (Butch), Donna and Patricia Arlinghaus, and Connie Darpel, his father and mother in-law: Howard & Wilma Meyer. Jerry was truly a remarkable and amazing person. To honor him, in lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Albert H Arlinghaus Scholarship Fund c/o Holy Cross High School, 3617 Church Street, Covington, KY 41015 and/or Beechwood Educational Foundation, 54 Beechwood Rd, Ft. Mitchell, KY 41017. Online condolences may be expressed on Facebook or at www.connleybrothersfuneralhome.com. Visitation will take place at Blessed Sacrament Church on Tuesday, September 26, 2023 from 8:00am until the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am. Interment following at St Mary Cemetery, Ft. Mitchell, KY.

We shared a driveway and lived nextdoor to Jerry & Connie for 10 years but loved Jerry from our first meeting. He felt like family to us. His joyful laugh and countless “Jerryisms” will be held in our hearts forever. Jerry was a truly genuine friend whose kindness, generosity, and love of life was an example for us all.

My heart felt condolences to all the Arlinghaus family. Connie, I know your husband, Jerry will be missed. He along with you were so welcoming to your daughter’s friends and their families. I remember the enjoyable times my daughter Christina played sports with Maria. You & Jerry hosted events at your home. Many memories for your daughters were created. Life long friendships established. It was evident Jerry loved his family and enjoyed interacting with people. May those many memories Jerry created within his family, and those whose path he crossed sustain you through this difficult time. His love lives on in each of you. May Jerry now R.I.P. shining his light upon each of you from above. Sincerely, Paula Steiner-Goldstein

Jerry was one of my favorite supervisors who encouraged me to go into management. We ended up being managers together and he was a terrific mentor. He was such a nice guy and talked often of his wonderful family. RIP Jerry, you will be missed.
