May 11, 1971 - August 20, 2024
It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Jerry Bickers on August 20, 2024, in Fort Thomas, Kentucky. Born on May 11, 1971 Jerry's 53 years of life was a culmination of love, dedication, and genuine connection with everyone he encountered. Jerry grew up in Newport, Kentucky, where he enjoyed playing sports at Newport High School. His passion for sports was evident from a young age and remained a significant part of his life. He was an enthusiastic admirer of the Dallas Cowboys, Cincinnati Reds, Cincinnati Bengals, and UK basketball. Whether it was a thrilling victory or a heartbreaking loss, Jerry could often be found discussing the latest game, sharing his insights, and reveling in the camaraderie that sports bring. In April of 1993, Jerry married the love of his life, Joby Bickers. After only 5 months of dating, he proposed and she accepted. Their union of 31 years was a testament to their enduring love and partnership. Together, they built a beautiful family and created countless cherished memories. Jerry was a proud and loving father to his daughters, Tira and Maegan Bickers, who were the light of his life. Jerry's career in the printing industry began during his high school years, and it quickly became his lifelong passion. He worked at various printing companies in Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky, where he not only honed his craft but also formed lasting friendships. Family was the cornerstone of Jerry's life. He was a beloved sibling to his brothers: Leonard and Ron Bickers; sister: Kathi (Tony) Baldwin; brother: Jeff (Jane) Bickers, and sisters Tammi Crank and Amanda Bickers. He was also a dear brother-in-law to Damian (Mollee) Wallace and son-in-law to Joyce Wallace. He was eagerly awaiting becoming a father-in-law to Joey Frakes this coming winter. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews to remember him. Jerry's love for his family extended beyond his immediate relatives. He found immense joy in camping and taking vacations with his loved ones. These moments of togetherness were filled with adventure and the simple pleasures of life, creating memories that will be treasured forever. Preceded in death by his cherished parents: Leonard "Butch" and K. Louise Bickers, and his father-in-law: R. David Wallace. Jerry's legacy of kindness and enthusiasm for life will continue to inspire those who knew him. Jerry's sudden passing has left a void that cannot be filled, but his spirit will live on in the hearts and minds of those who loved him. In this time of sorrow, may we find solace in the love he gave and the memories he created. Jerry Bickers will be deeply missed but never forgotten. May he rest in peace.
