Joe Wagner, 81, of Independence, KY, passed away on Monday, January 2, 2017. He was a 32 degree Mason, a member of the Golden Rule Covington Lodge #109 F&AM, a member of Blanket Creek Baptist Church in Falmouth, KY and he worked as a transport driver for Interstate Brands. Joe was a perfectionist when it came to maintaining his yard and he was an accomplished handyman. He was preceded in death by his parents: William and Louise Wagner. Joe is survived by his wife: Helen Wagner; sons: Larry (Linda) Wagner, Robert (Linda) Wassum and Charles (Faith) Wagner; daughter: Brenda (Wayne) Klette; 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 6, 2017 at Connley Brothers Funeral Home, 11 East Southern Avenue, Covington (Latonia), KY 41015 from 9:30 A.M. until a Masonic Service at 11:00 A.M. The funeral service will immediately follow. Interment: Forest Lawn. Memorials are suggested to a charity of the donor’s choice. I’m sorry I was unable to attend Joe’s service. Cadence is with me and not well enough to take out in this weather. Know that you and Joe are in my prayers.
Helen, we are so sorry for your loss. Joe was such a kind man and always so willing to help us out when we had trouble! Whether it was a garden hose stuck in the lawn mower fan, or a car stuck in the snow! He always went out of his way to help. We have loved having you all as neighbors and are so glad to have known Joe for a little while. I am thankful he is free of pain and with his Heavenly Father. Love you, Helen.
