John E. Cornelius, 56, of Springdale, OH, formerly of Covington, KY, passed away on Tuesday, October 1, 2019. He was a truck driver for Creation Gardens in Cincinnati, OH and an avid football fan, especially the University of Alabama and the Miami Dolphins. John was preceded in death by his father: Arnold Cornelius; mother: Carol Gattrell and daughter: Charley Jo-Lynn Cornelius. He is survived by his loving wife: Esther Cornelius; son: Sean Michael McDermott; daughters: Christine Sparks and Emily Jean Cornelius; sister: Michelle Angle; brothers: Jerry Ritko and Sam Retchko; 11 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild as well as several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be on Saturday, October 5, 2019 from 2:00 PM until the Funeral Service at 5:00 PM at Connley Brothers Funeral Home, 11 East Southern Avenue, Covington (Latonia), KY 41015.
