John “Jack” Kroger, Sr., 85, of Latonia, KY passed away on Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at St. Elizabeth Healthcare in Edgewood, KY. He was a Veteran of the Naval Air Force where he served during WWII and the Korean Conflict. Jack was the Owner Operator of Huntington Hut. He was a member of Holy Cross Church in Latonia, KY, Latonia Youth Club, Hut A/C, Dayton Golf Club, Holy Cross Holy Name Society and Softball City Hall of Fame. Jack was active in coaching and umpiring Northern Kentucky Sports. He was preceded in death by his Wife: Shirley Ann Kroger. Jack is survived by his Daughters: Bonnie (Doug) Matherly and Angie (John) Siemer; Sons: Nick (Melanie) Kroger, Jack (Janet) Kroger, Jr., Dougie Kroger and Bernard (Victoria) Kroger; Sister: Sylvia Willenbrink; 11 Grandchildren and 8 Great Grandchildren. Visitation will be on Saturday, November 29, 2014 from 9:30 AM until the Catholic Blessing at 1:00 PM at Connley Brothers Funeral Home in Latonia, KY. Interment and Honor Guard Service will be at Mother of God Cemetery in Fort Wright, KY. Memorials are suggested to the Charity of the Donor’s Choice.
