John K. Townsend, age 79, of Verona, KY passed away on Saturday, December 8, 2012 at Gallatin Health Care in Warsaw, KY. He was a retired insurance agent with Commonwealth Life Insurance Company and had also worked at Metropolitan Life Insurance Company. He loved gardening and raising his animals on the farm. He was also a U.S. Marine Corps.Veteran during the Korean Conflict. John is Survived by his Wife: Betty A. Townsend of Verona, KY; Daughter: Scarlet Hudson of Dillsboro, IN; Sons: Michael Townsend of Cleveland, OH, Kenneth Townsend of Verona, KY and Steve Townsend of Verona, KY; Brother: Bob Townsend of Latonia, KY; 5 Grandchildren, and 10 Great Grandchildren. The Visitation will be held at Connley Brothers Funeral Home in Latonia, KY, on Thursday, December 13, 2012 from 10 AM until the Funeral Service at 12 Noon. An Honor Guard Service and Interment will follow at 2 PM at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North in Williamstown, KY.
