Joseph "Joe" Lee Vanover, Sr., 51, of Covington, KY, passed away on Thursday, September 24, 2026. He enjoyed working with his hands and liked tinkering with things. Joe was a maintenance worker by trade and enjoyed watching football and playing basketball. More than anything, he was a family man and absolutely loved spending time with his grandchildren. Joe was preceded in death by his loving wife of 31 years: Phyllis Ann Vanover and their son: Joseph Lee Vanover, Jr. He is survived by his parents: James and Anna Vanover, Sr.; children: Zachary Smith, Kimberly Amber Rose Vanover and Stephanie Vanover; siblings: James (Crystal) Vanover, Jr. and Thomas Vanover; very close family friend: John Johnston; grandchildren: Isaiah, Matteo, Arya, Malina and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will take place on Monday, September 28, 2026 from 9:00 AM until the Eulogy Service at 11:00 AM at Connley Brothers Funeral Home, 11 East Southern Avenue, Covington (Latonia), KY 41015. Interment will follow at Highland Cemetery in Fort Mitchell, KY. Memorials are suggested to the Connley Brothers Funeral Home to offset expenses.
