Oh, how sad I am to hear of Jo's passing. I loved this lady dearly. I have so many great memories of her. We sat together at Mass, were in seniors together and Red Hats. She was an angel. I will miss her. I wish I could be at her funeral Mass. I know she is in heaven with her husband and daughter. May God give her family comfort during this very sad time. You all and Jo are in my thoughts and prayers. May Jo rest in peace.

The Rapp Family, I’m so sorry about your loss of the matriarch of your family. Her porch was always open along with her sweet heart. I have such good memories of her on Clark Street and along the “Craft”show circles. I will always cherish one of my latest memories of her and my late Mother joking and giggling at church craft shows. Two strong women of faith, humor, and love of family is a nice memory to hold onto for me. Rest in heavenly peace Mrs. Rapp, you have certainly earned it! Love and prayers, Brenda

To all of Jo’s Family, My condolences are with all of you as she will be so truly missed. My heart was broken today as I read the news of her passing. I loved her very much and she was a great friend and inspiration in my life. I met her 35 years ago when we joined St. Barbara Church and she took me under her wings and loving care and made me feel so welcome and with the Crafty Ladies. And when our grandson Dakota was born almost 11 years ago with Spinal Muscular Atrophy she fell in love with him and thought of him as one of her own grandchildren. She used to make him little gifts including a quilt that he still has and it will always be cherished. My husband Ken also went to school with John and they would always catch up when he accompanied his Mom to Church on Saturday mass. So my sympathy go out to all of you and my heart feels a little empty but now I have another angel watching over all of us. And I will be a far better person and Christian for having known her and having her a part of my life. So Rest in Heavenly Peace my Dear Friend. I will truly miss you. God Bless to the Family and Friends you have left behind May God Grant us all peace. Sandy and Ken Biery and Dakota

Julie, Mike and the Rapp family, Our condolences on your loss. Needless to say your mother lived a full and wonderful life, can just imagine the stories she probably could tell.

My Dear Friends Jody & John, We have known each other for over 40 years. In that time I have always heard you speak so highly of your Mother, and Mother-in-Law. I know her passing leaves an emptiness in your heart. May that hole be filled with all the moments, memories, and milestones she created with you, and all your extended family. She has created such a legacy with her large family. Very few of us will be given such a long, lengthy life on this earth. Her longevity is a record and testament to endurance. She kept her wits to the end. Death ends a Life, but not a relationship. All of you are part of her tapestry of Life. My love, prayers, and condolences are with you, In Friendship, Paula

What a lovely lady! I met Jo in 2013 during a story intervew for the Enquirer. I asked the mother of 10 for her advice on how to have a happy family life. This was her advice: “Live your life one day at a time, and live it as an example of “Love one another”. Be thoughtful of those in need. Be grateful to God, live in service to others - and keep smiling!”

We met Jo and Charlie when we were neighbors in the Hunters Green subdivision. She was always so kind to us. When I delivered twins, Eden and Emily, in 1981, she brought a gift for them. I never forgot her kindness. She would always ask how our kids were when we saw her at church. She is an inspiration to our whole family. Our grown children still fondly remember her. Rest In Peace dear Jo. Thank you for your kindness.
