Juanita Casey Drake, age 86 of Latonia, KY passed away on Saturday, October 19, 2013 at The Baptist Village in Erlanger, KY. She retired from the Payroll Department with the Kenton County Sheriff’s Office. She was preceded in death by her Husband’s: Earl Eugene Casey in 1959 and Paul H. Drake, Sr. in 1998; Son: Earl Eugene Casey, Jr. in 2012 and a Grandson: Ryan. Juanita is survived by her Son: Alan Brent Casey; Step-Children: Susan, Mary, Paul, Jr., David, James, Mark and Daniel; Grandchildren: 15 and Great Grandchildren: 13. The Visitation will be on Tuesday, October 22, 2013 at Connley Brothers Funeral Home in Latonia, KY from 4 PM until 7 PM. Funeral Service on Wednesday, October 23, 2013 at Connley Brothers Funeral Home in Latonia, KY at 10 AM. Interment in Independence Cemetery in Independence, KY. Juanita (Mom) was very good to me, my husband Dave and our children, Amanda and Ryan. Unfortunately, she was not able to really know our grandson, Ryan Joseph, son of Amanda. She was always loving and caring to me after I became a part of the family. LOVED Sunday dinners at their house while dating Dave. While married to Dave’s dad (Pop) she was warm and showed great affection to both of our children while they were growing up and ALWAYS treated me as if I was one of her own daughters. We always knew we were welcomed. I have many fond memories and she will be missed by all that came in contact with her. Hugs and prayers!
Juanita had a big heart and took on a lot when she married Dad. She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed taking care of her whole family. Although I was not at home for very long when Juanita and Dad married, I never had to worry that he was not being taken care of and loved. She was Maama to my kids and we will never forget her.
